Service. "Service" means the website and/or the applications operated by Palmetto Apps LLC.
Personal Data. "Personal Data" means any information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person ("data subject"); an identifiable natural person is one who can be identified, directly or indirectly, in particular by reference to an identifier such as a name, an identification number, location data, an online identifier or to one or more factors specific to the physical, physiological, genetic, mental, economic, cultural or social identity of that natural person.
Note: the Personal Data definition comes from the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
The Service does not collect Personal Data.
Scribba processes all audio locally on your device using the operating system's built-in speech recognition. No audio or transcriptions are transmitted to any server.
Scribba sends anonymous usage counts so we can see what's working and fix what isn't: app launches, dictations, word counts, errors, and when the subscription screen appears. Word counts are how many words, never which words.
Never collected: audio, transcripts, or any text you say or type. No name, email, or account. No cookies, no advertising ID, no tracking across apps.
The analytics service we use receives only these anonymous counts and protects them to the same standard as this policy.
On by default. Turn it off anytime in Preferences ▸ General ▸ Analytics. Collection stops right away, and anything not yet sent is deleted from your Mac. Counts already sent can't be traced back to you, so they can't be looked up or deleted individually.
